Start with the existing openings
Make a room-by-room list of windows that stick, have damaged frames, or no longer suit the way you use the space. Include any history of leaks and photographs of the surrounding wall. A replacement within an existing opening and a change to the opening deserve separate scope discussions.
Describe whether your priority is easier operation, a clearer view, privacy, or a different appearance. That gives the conversation a practical starting point before a particular window is selected.
